Our wear-resistant alumina hexagonal ceramic liner tiles are manufactured through a unique pre-bonding process, where high hardness hexagonal alumina ceramic pieces are securely arranged and adhered onto a tough acetate cloth backing to form a flexible, square mat. The tightly interlocking hexagonal geometry eliminates straight line joints, preventing localized wear and adhesive failure that often starts at seams. During installation, the entire acetate cloth mat is simply bonded directly to the equipment surface using high strength adhesive, creating a continuous, seamless wear-resistant lining on heavily scoured equipment such as mining chutes, coal hoppers, cement cyclones, steel mills, and power plant ash-handling systems. This completely eliminates the need for welding, substantially reducing installation time and operational risks.
Each hexagonal ceramic piece is sintered from high-purity alumina (Al2O3 ≥ 92%, with 95% and 99% options available), delivering an outstanding combination of extreme hardness and reliable toughness. Typical properties include a density of ≥3.65 g/cm³, Vickers hardness of ≥1100 HV, Rockwell hardness of ≥85 HRA, water absorption below 0.02%, and a compressive strength exceeding 2000 MPa. These characteristics equip the liner mat with excellent resistance to sliding abrasion from highly abrasive materials such as coal, ore, sand, and cement clinker, often extending service life by 4 to 6 times compared with conventional wear?resistant steel plates under identical conditions. The ceramic pieces are commonly available in thicknesses from 12 mm to 30 mm and can be precision-cut to match complex curved or irregular equipment surfaces, ensuring full coverage. The acetate cloth backing not only serves as an integrated, flexible carrier that simplifies handling and trimming, but also provides effective impact absorption under dynamic loads, further protecting the ceramic layer and the adhesive bond line.
